Dear Parish Priests and PPC Chairs
Following a COVID hiatus, the Archdiocese is relaunching its annual leadership conference, on Saturday 22 October, from 8am to 5pm. The venue will be Holy Family College, in Parktown. The conference is intended for members of your parish leadership teams, meaning your Parish Pastoral Council, Parish Youth Forum and Parish Finance Committee.
The cost per person is R100, which will include lunch. Once you have submitted the registration for your parish, you will be invoiced for your delegates.
The theme of the leadership conference is taken from the outcomes of the pre-Synodal process, “Creating cultures of welcome, listening, formation and accountability.” We will begin with a keynote address by retired Constitutional Court Justice Edwin Cameron, Chancellor of Stellenbosch University and Inspecting Judge of Correctional Services. He will explore the links between constitutional values and the theme of our conference.
This will be followed by a series of parallel lectures focused on the conference themes, while the afternoon session will be devoted to longer, more practical and in-depth workshops. We ask you to do one registration per parish, using the Google registration form below.
